Suzlon Energy is planning to buy the remaining 9% stake in REpower Systems AG. The world’s third-largest wind turbine maker currently holds 91% stake in REpower.
REpower Systems AG is a Germany-based technology company engaged in the development, licensing, production and sale of wind energy turbines as well as after-sales service for the German wind energy sector.
Recently,REpower Systems AG had entered into an agreement with Klagerup Kraft AB for the delivery of three of its MM92 wind turbines with a rated power of 2.05 MW each for a wind farm project near the city of Malmo in the Skane province in Sweden. The project is developed and partly owned by HS Kraft AB, one of the leading developers of wind power in Sweden. The Klagerup wind farm is scheduled for installation and operation by 2011.
